Jiu Jitsu Coach
Jeremiah "Jay" Garber is a black belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu under Eddie Bravo, with a strong wrestling foundation. His martial arts journey began at an early age, as wrestling is more common and affordable for young boys in Iowa than daycare. This early exposure set the stage for his later ventures into Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts.
Jay is enthusiastic about developing the grappling program at MRG, where he brings his extensive experience and passion for grappling to a new audience.
After high school, Jay served six years in the Air Force, during which he began his Jiu Jitsu training. While stationed abroad, he developed and created martial arts programs at various duty stations. Academically, Jay holds an associate degree in Statistics and is nearing the completion of his Bachelor's in Psychology at Azusa Pacific University. He aspires to pursue an M.D. to become a psychiatrist.
Outside of martial arts, Jay enjoys reading, traveling, shooting, camping, and horseback riding.
