Justin Cruz

Justin De La Cruz began his martial arts journey at the age of six, training in Shito-Ryu Karate. Throughout his youth, he competed in karate tournaments, earning multiple awards in both individual divisions and team kata competitions. At the age of 13, he began training in Moorimdo under David Moon and has since earned the rank of Third Degree Black Belt. He also holds the rank of brown belt in MRG's MMA program and currently serves as an instructor for the children's and teen martial arts classes at the academy, where he is dedicated to helping students build confidence, discipline, and strong character through martial arts.

In addition to teaching, Justin actively trains and competes in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He currently holds the rank of blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and his experience across multiple martial arts disciplines allows him to provide students with a well-rounded approach to striking, grappling, and self-defense. He is committed to continually improving his skills through training and competition while sharing that knowledge with his students.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Justin attended Star Christian School and Child Care Center, St. Agnes Catholic School, and Los Angeles Senior High School. He later graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a bachelor's degree in Communication, becoming a first-generation college graduate. Outside of martial arts, Justin enjoys spending quality time with his family and exploring his passion for cooking.
